1. COMMUNITY OUTREACH OFFICER (Part-Time)
Program: Women & Gender Affairs
Project: SHOCKPROOFING COMMUNITIES – Renewals
Job Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario
Job type: Full-time Contract; Remote Work
Contract length: 6 Weeks
No. of positions: One (1)

Compensation: $21.00 per hour; 25hrs per week
Reports to: Project Lead
The Community Outreach Officer will work closely with the Project team and other KCA officials to carry out their duties.
You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing a work plan that identifies the goals and activities required for the duration of the contract.
- Developing and/or maintain a filing system and maintain work files that are up to date, accurate and concise.
- Providing research and support activities in the development and execution of outreach strategies and activities
- Provide administrative support in preparation for community engagement activities including event management, logistics planning and coordination.
- Preparing and submitting required administrative documentation including purchase orders, regular travel and time sheets.
- Contact Potential Project beneficiaries
- Onboard New Project beneficiaries
- Maintain Project beneficiaries’ database
- Build authentic relationships with project beneficiaries
- Participate in Case Management Meetings
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Social Work, Psychology or related field of study
- Minimum one-year experience working with racialized communities is preferred.
- Competency in computer applications including Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Written and verbal Communication skills
- Strong experience preparing reports.
- Social perceptiveness
- Active listening skills
- Friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

2. FINANCE OFFICER (Part-Time)

Contract length: 10 Weeks

Compensation: $24.00 per hour; 30hrs per week
Reports to: Project Lead
The Finance Officer will work within the Secretariat as part of the project implementation team while liaising with the Women & Gender Affairs Program Director, Field Support Social Workers, Project Consultants as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires someone with high professional approach, use of tact, superior organizational skills, ability to work with minimal error under pressure, good judgment, initiative, flexibility, ability to deal in an effective and cooperative manner with a variety of people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain books of accounts
- Processing expense reimbursements
- Assist in preparing grant project report
- Analyzing and recommending improvements to financial processes and procedures
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines
- Maintaining financial files, records, and historical data
- Filing and organizing records
- Perform other administrative duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in accounting, finance or related field of study
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting and finance profession is preferred.
- Extensive Intuit QuickBooks experience (bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and financial reports)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Office 365 is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, PIVOT Tables, Sum Formula)
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
