E-passport was created by Peter Chege
Hi There,

I'm a Kenyan-Canadian resident and I want to apply for the new e-passport. What other options do I have besides going to Washington DC or traveling to Kenya? Some people might not be admitted into the USA. Also, considering that most operations and travel had been put on hold due to covid-19, is there a chance that the government will consider extending the deadline previously set for March 2021?
I'd appreciate if someone is in a position to respond to these questions.

Regards,

Peter Chege

Hello Peter,

KCA appreciates your enquiry.

The better option would be to travel to Kenya to apply for it considering that travel to Washington is still restricted and the Embassy has not resumed full operations.

Regarding the March 2021 deadline, it is likely that the deadline will be extended because the pandemic affected continued roll out of the E-passport program

Thank you.
