The Finals of Pamoja Soccer Tournament Scheduled for this Weekend

Brampton, Ontario - November 17, 2023

The 2023 Pamoja Soccer Tournament Finals are scheduled for Saturday November 18, 2023 4:00PM. The tournament which aims at promoting Youth Mental Health and Well-being kicked off with fervor last weekend at SaveMax Sports Centre in Brampton. The inaugural event organized by Kenyan Canadian Association to unite communities through the spirit of sports, showcased an exciting lineup of teams competing for glory. This soccer spectacle also serves as a compelling precursor to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place in Toronto and Vancouver.

In November 11, 2023, Ivory FC (Côte d'Ivoire) faced off with Zan Heroes FC (Tanzania resulting in a riveting 5-3 victory for Tanzania. Wazalendo FC (Kenya) dominated Toronto Select FC (Uganda) with a convincing 4-2 win.

Inaugural Pamoja Soccer Tournament Kicks off in Brampton

The Winter Edition of the 2023 Pamoja Soccer Tournament organized by Kenyan Canadian Association to Promote Youth Mental Health and Well-being is scheduled to kick off today in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The inaugural event will take place at SaveMax Sports Centre, 1495 Sandalwood Parkway East, Brampton L6R 0K2. Pamoja is swahili word meaning “unity” or “together”

Everyone is welcome for the tournament with very exciting matches lined up on Saturday, Nov 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and the finals on November 18, 2023 from 4:00PM – 5:00PM featuring football clubs representing Ivory Coast, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda as very talented youth showcase their skills and teamwork like never before!

The Soccer Clubs are Ivory FC, Wazalendo FC, Zan Heroes FC and Toronto Fongone FC.

2023 KCA International Women's Day workshop & Celebration Dinner

Kenyan Canadian Association (KCA) held the Inuagural International Women's Day Workshop & Celebration Dinner on March 11, 2023 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The colorful event was grace by invited local and international dignitaries and special guests.

The Chief Guest was The Spouse of The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya H.E. Pastor Dr. Dorcas Rigathi EGH, who received an award from KCA for championing Gender Equality and the plight of the Boy Child. H.E. Pastor Dr. Dorcas Rigathi was welcomed to the City by His Worship Patrick Brown, The Mayor of Brampton. She was accompanied to the event by Kenya High Commissioner to Canada H.E. Amb. Immaculate Wambua and Kenya Honorary Consul in Toronto Mr. Sunir Chandaria. Other Canadian Political Leaders who graced the event include Brampton North MP Hon. Ruby Sahota, MPP of Brampton Centre and Ontario Minister of Women's Social and Economic Opportunity. Hon. Charmaine Williams and Brampton North MPP Hon. Graham McGregor.
