Call for Expressions of Interest: Program Directors (2026 - 2028 Term)

Kenyan Canadian Association - KCA, a federal not-for-profit incorporated in 2019 that implements programs that focus on the racialized and other marginalized groups is seeking expression of Interest for Program Directors to join our board for the 2026 - 2028 period.

We are seeking innovative, energetic, enthusiastic, self-starters, task-driven leaders who are team players committed to uphold KCA values and adhere to our code of conduct while executing their mandates as Program Directors.

Position Profile: The Board of Directors of Kenyan Canadian Association have a unique opportunity to give back to the society by developing policies & strategies that sets out the organizational direction.

Program Directors work in positions that closely match their interests, skills and experience. The following are the vacant Program Director positions.

  1. Seniors Outreach 
  2. Women & Gender Affairs
  3. Newcomers & Settlement 
  4. Disability Support
  5. Youth Outreach 
  6. Health & Wellness
  7. Sports & Recreation
  8. Careers, Education & Research (CER)
  9. Social Economic Empowerment
  10. International Relief & Development (IRD)
  11. Tourism, Trade & Investment (TTI)

Program Committees: The Program Directors assume the Chair position in their Program Committees. They may join one or two other Program Committees that complement their program activities.

Time Commitment: 2 hours for monthly or quarterly committee meetings; and 3 or more hours for other occasional program and project activities.

Remuneration: Program Directors are volunteers and do not receive remuneration for their service. They may earn honoraria on projects activities being implemented within their programs based on their skills and experience.

Skills and Qualifications: We are seeking diverse, dedicated community-minded board members with expertise in the areas of: Social Service; Health; Sports; Business and Entrepreneurship; Finance and Risk Management; Fundraising & Donor Engagement; Human Resource Management; Marketing Communications; Information Technology; Strategic Planning; International Trade & Development; Public Policy & Administration.
