63rd Kenya Independence Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Kenyan Canadian Association invites members of the Kenyan community, friends, partners and the wider public to join us as we commemorate Kenya’s 63rd Independence Day – Jamhuri Day with a special flag raising ceremony at Brampton City Hall.

Date: Saturday, December 12, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Venue: Brampton City Hall, 2 Wellington Street West, Brampton, Ontario

This celebration continues a proud tradition that began in 2019, when Kenyan Canadian Association organized the first Kenya Flag Raising Ceremony at Brampton City Hall. During that inaugural celebration, the Kenyan community also received a proclamation from His Worship Mayor Patrick Brown, recognizing Kenya’s Independence Day and the contributions of Kenyan Canadians to the City of Brampton.

This year, we once again come together to celebrate Kenya’s independence, heritage, culture and the growing contribution of the Kenyan diaspora in Canada.
