The event was part of a high-impact webinar series supported by funds from the Government of Canada through the Canadian Women’s Foundation, Safer + Stronger COVID-19 Emergency Grant.

Did you know that the Department of Justice found that over 83% of the instances of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Canada go unreported to authorities? There are a myriad of reasons why many people stay silent; like social stigma, fear of blame or retaliation; or the difficulties of dealing with law enforcement and the justice system.
KCA Celebrates and Honours The Seniors at a Colorful Event

Toronto, Canada – September 18, 2021
Kenyan Canadian Association - KCA held its inaugural Seniors Celebration Day on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in North York, Ontario.
The event also featured the Senior of the Year Award to honour seniors, 65 years and above, that have made an outstanding voluntary contribution to enrich the social, economic and cultural life in the community. The recipients of the award must have made the commitment to service without thought of personal or financial gain.
